PARAGON CITY, RI-- Halfway Decent Multimedia, in association with Saul Rubenstien International LTD., today announced the most recent installment of the wildly popular City Of Heroes franchise: City of Heroes: The Ascendant Chronicles for all of the major next generation consoles as well as suitably powerful PCs. "I'm extremely pleased that we could bring such a marketable commodity to the table, and our designers have been working around the clock to push the next generation systems to their very utmost to provide the depth of gameplay, action, and, most of all, quality, that the public has come to expect from the Ascendant franchise," said Davin Smarmington, CEO of Halfway Decent Multimedia during a press conference at the highly exclusive and heretofore unknown E4 conference earlier today. "I was told there was going to be food at this thing," added producer and multimedia giant, Saul Rubenstien, "Where the hell is it already?" Ascendant was available briefly during the announcement, but seemed confused and disoriented when asked questions about the upcoming game. "We're making a what?" he asked repeatedly. "Perez Park, Steel Canyon, Boomtown... Every corner of Paragon City has been meticulously reproduced by our team of designers," said Smarmington, "It's the most realistic depiction of Paragon City ever seen in a video game. Bar none." Touting advanced graphics, hyper-realistic environments, and a wealth of action and adventure, City of Heroes: the Ascendant Chronicles is set to debut on all of the major gaming consoles in first quarter of 2008. While no open beta test has been announced, the invitation to a closed beta has been extended to the lucky members of Ascendant's illustrious cohorts, the Liberty League. When asked how he felt about his teammates seeing the mean streets of Paragon City from his perspective in a video game, Ascendant quickly replied, "We're making a what?" "Come on, I'm starving over here already," quipped Mr. Rubienstien. |
